Mission

The Midlands Diabetes Interest Group strives for the recognition, promotion and protection of the health of people with Diabetes, through the provision of support, education and practical advice in both the community in which they live and all accessible gatherings.

Objectives

  1. To advance the education of the general public in Gweru and surrounding areas of the Midlands Province relating to the condition of diabetes. 
  2. To lobby for the welfare and provision of proper care and support for diabetic people. 
  3. To raise awareness of the needs of people with diabetes in communities in the Midlands Province.
  4. To raise funds for the sustenance of diabetes programmes in the Province.
  5. To facilitate training programmes for diabetic and interested people for the advancement of the awareness for diabetes. 
  6. To strengthen entrepreneurial efforts of diabetic people for self-sustenance.
